The 8th International Summer School «Reserves of sustainable development of NGOs in Russia and abroad: innovative approaches and approbation»

Centre for Studies of Civil Society and the Nonprofit Sector National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) held the 8th International Summer School “Reserves of Sustainable Development of NGOs in Russia and Abroad: Innovative Approaches and Testing”, which took place from September 10 to 13 2019 in Moscow.

The Summer School of the Centre for Studies of Civil Society and the Nonprofit Sector National Research University Higher School of Economics is a platform where researchers interested in the development of civil society and the non-profit sector discuss the results of their research, learn the latest theoretical concepts and empirical data, receive informational and methodological support from leading Russian and foreign experts.

The aim of the 8th International Summer School “Reserves of sustainable development of NGOs in Russia and abroad: innovative approaches and testing” is to promote research in the non-profit sector and to facilitate scientific exchange between young researchers, scientists, teachers and students. He continued the tradition of previous summer schools with presentations on paper, seminars, training programs, presentations for teachers and networking opportunities.
 
The school participants were students and researchers from Russia, the CIS countries, Europe and Asia, who hold different points of view in the field of Reserves of sustainable development of NGOs.
The focus of the summer school in 2019 was the topic of investments in social impact, that is, investments made in order to obtain a positive, measurable social or environmental effect along with the financial result.
Since its debut back in 2012, the Summer School has had a privilege of welcoming as its faculty a superb range of international scholars to lecture and network with their fellows on multiple theoretical and applied dimensions in the studies of non-profit sector.
